How could I enroll if my school doesn't starts re enrollment until August 6th, which that's when I did and started school on August 15. i called uscis and they said thay i do qualify, it was one of the main people that work there. also on USCIS.gov it states the following:

Q1: Does “currently in school” refer to the date on which the request for consideration of deferred action is filed?
A1: To be considered “currently in school” under the guidelines, you must be enrolled in school on the date you submit a request for consideration of deferred action under this process.

Q2: Who is considered to be “currently in school” under the guidelines?
A2: To be considered “currently in school” under the guidelines, you must be enrolled in:

a public or private elementary school, junior high or middle school, high school, or secondary school;
an education, literacy, or career training program (including vocational training) that is designed to lead to placement in postsecondary education, job training, or employment and where you are working toward such placement; or
an education program assisting students either in obtaining a regular high school diploma or its recognized equivalent under state law (including a certificate of completion, certificate of attendance, or alternate award), or in passing a General Educational Development (GED) exam or other equivalent state-authorized exam.

Well, Here is my personal theory.

Things have changed. I don't think they are longer boxes and paper files. Our package gets to the lockboxes. At the lockboxes our applications, evidence, and check get scanned. They are then emailed in their own dropbox kind of system to the service center that will review them. I think it is all electronic now. I think the person in phoenix flags them since they are the person that has to review them for completeness, payment, and acceptance.

I do think they are flagged a certain one of two ways. a)by last name --the person at the service center divides them into officer a gets a-f officer b- gets g-k etc... or

b) I think they are flagged depending on the evidence as easy straightforward. Maybe in a color system (green, yellow, red) or their own coding system.

I don't think they are reviewed by just one officer. I think if they need evidence there are RFE officers. People that get the files handed down or are more specialized in certain things. Reviewing criminal convictions etc...Organizational management type of stuff. Reviewing how authentic documents are etc.

It just doesn't make sense for one officer to keep the getting files every week and keep the hard ones. It doesn't make sense. You would get to work. What would the procedure be? Spend the first half a day looking at old cases and the second half at new ones? If you approve 3 go get 3 new ones? It just doesn't make sense.

I think all the WAC number is basically what application number you are so they keep track of number of applications.

I highly doubt it and although the information may be outdated I can feel confident that much of what was mentioned still applies today.

Considering all the relatives I've had gone through the system in the past few years I can't help but assume it's still a similar method and the filing is the reason why some of my relatives were approved so quickly while others waited for months..

I also feel like this is the case with our applications today. Esp. since I filed Aug 16th yet the people who I helped file weeks later still got their approvals weeks ahead of me..

I'm not sure what other methods everyone is looking at but to me it just makes sense...

Yeah, But are you still high school age or are you older? Because, I have say that part of the eligibility guidelines was the most confusing.

I interpreted that to mean that you were high school age and currently working on a ged or high school diploma otherwise if not high school age that you had to have a high school diploma. My friend's brother hasn't applied cuz he is still working on his ged. But he has been here forever. Please keep us updated.

Thank you very much I'm a smart man, I did my sisters and cousins and all of them got approved already.
It all depends on the officer I guess . If I don't get approved this week, well maybe the next

It doesn't matters of age, as long as you had some sort of proof that you are working on getting a high school diploma or re enrolled before applying
U should be good to go. I talked to one of the top people from USCIS and she said that I had nothing to worry about, that I meet the guidelines and that I should be good to go. She even stated that I was almost there of getting approved and she reassure me that everything will be okay. If I get approved you guys will be the first to know

Read the following:

Q3: How do I establish that I am currently in school?
A3: Documentation sufficient for you to demonstrate that you are currently in school may include, but is not limited to:

evidence that you are enrolled in a public or private elementary school, junior high or middle school, high school or secondary school; or
evidence that you are enrolled in an education, literacy, or career training program (including vocational training) that is designed to lead to placement in postsecondary education, job training, or employment and where you are working toward such placement, and that the program is funded in whole or in part by federal or state grants or is of demonstrated effectiveness; or
evidence that you are enrolled in an education program assisting students either in obtaining a regular high school diploma or its recognized equivalent under State law (including a certificate of completion, certificate of attendance, or alternate award), or in passing a General Educational Development (GED) exam or other such state-authorized exam, and that the program is funded in whole or in part by federal or state grants or is of demonstrated effectiveness.
