Should I stop contributing to my 401k now that we are not certain about our future in the US?

Nothing bad will happen. They are not going take away our DACA. I can't guarantee that of course but that's just my belief. Do not stop contributing to your 401K. Specially if you have a company match. Who doesn't like free money.

What makes you so confident they won't take away daca when trump said he would?

I don't get a company match, so I just thought that i'd be better off saving the money myself in case I need it when I don't have a job. Also, in case of deportation, it will be harder for me to access the 401k money.

If there is deportation, dont sign the self volunteer paper. Just let it go to court. You will have time to get the money from 401k.

This wont happen. Trump will not deport us.

I stopped contributing on election night. I'll just whatever is in there now and pull it out if he does kill DACA, which he will because he has based his campaign on that
