Their mission: passage of the Dream Act, a federal bill due to be reintroduced in the Senate next week that would legalize the status of young immigrants bound for college or the military. The bill's sponsor, Sen. Richard Durbin, D-Ill., was inspired to file the bill after meeting an undocumented student.

Quote:
The movement's moment could arrive as early as Tuesday when Durbin reintroduces the bill with co-sponsor Sen. Richard Lugar, R-Ind.

wow, next week according to 4 sources.

I'm excited, at the same time a bit scared that it came too soon. As the dream act isn't promoted mainstream yet which will persuade people or even senators decision.

This sounds like a credible source. I know introducing it isn't a big thing but hey at least it's step one of the process.

i just pray that it happens. im tired of having to live of my parents.
just want to go out there and pave my own way.

USMC here i come, i know some people said they wouldnt serve the military. but for me its a way to pay this country back (for better or for worse) without a military there would be no freedom that we are all seeking.

I so agree with you.

I agree. I want to start paying for my things i want to pay for school myself so my dad doesn't have to. He left the country so he could provide for his family which to me is a huge sacrifice so i would love to be able work and help him out. Hes worked so hard over the years and i think its high time he took a break.

My hopes are on the Dream Act...it might take a while to pass..but I hope it passes, I am tired of waiting...but have hope it will pass, for the mean time I will continue to work hard on the things I do, and have a positive attitude...like others said, I want to be able to pay my way through life and not rely on others economically...and the Dream Act will give us that opportunity...and so much more hope...
