new guy from Arizona

Hey everyone, My name is Alejandro and I currently attend Arizona State University trying to get my Graphic Design degree. I moved to the U.S. when I was four years old and was lucky enough to obtain my citizenship a couple years back. I hope to not be like many out there that once they have gained citizenship, forget about others that have not yet. I have family and friends that would be greatly benefited from the Dream Act and I want to get more involved in any way I possibly can.

I know there are a couple groups here on campus that I.ve heard speak during the lunch hour activities. I.ll ask around campus but I.ll also look into the organizations on that link.

also how did you heard about our forums community?

I was actually doing research for one of my design courses. We have to present an issue that is important and relevant that has to do with social justice, sustainability, and social good in general. We then have to find graphic design awareness campaigns and present them to our class, along with an explanation of the issue itself.

I had been meaning to become more informed about the DREAM Act and ways to get involved, and it just seemed fitting to use this project to bring attention to an issue that is really important.


So bare with me as I keep reading and learning all about the DREAM Act, as the technicalities are still new to me.
