Tell your lawyer about your status!
You should never keep things like that from your lawyer. Your lawyer is the expert and could tell you what to expect.

Well I got arrested twice, when I was 17 years old for arm robbery and stealing. For Arm Robbery case, I pleased as innocent and stealing case I had to do some community service hours to clear up my record. I didn't say nothing about my status to the lawyer and it went everything cool. I don't know about your case tho cuz this incident happened when I was 17..
If you need more info about my case.. just private message me.

the worst thing you can do is not telling all the information to your lawyer. Usually, a misdeameanor record will get deleted from your record after you finish community service+fine but it really depends on your luck and state laws. Good luck though.

Consider yourself lucky. . . imagine if you would've got caught in an Islamic culture(back in the days). Man your hands would have been chopped off.

What can I say, you stole, you're a thief, now deal with your consequences.

For your lawyer to represent you effectively, he has to know your status...
