If I got pulled over in GA, and I had a WA license what exactly would happen? Would I simply get a ticket/fine for my infraction and having an out of state license? If I got into an accident, would there be anyway for the police officers to find my immigration status and deport me? I don't know, people tell me laws are tougher in GA, does anyone know?

I'm not sure where in GA you live but it's a state law (specially enforced in Cobb and Cherokee County) that if an immigrant gets pulled over driving with an out of state license, you get a fine and a court date. At the court day you have two choices; either prove that you do live in WA and were just visiting or change get a Ga license. If you can't do either, you get arrested for 2 days. Within those two days however (the GA police works hand in hand with ICE and have access to your legal status) they do a background check and you have to go to an immigration court and there are only 4 immigration judges in GA. 3 of them give you 2 months to get your crap together and leave and one of them is more compassionate and usually gives you 6 months. If this does happen to you, DO NOT go without a lawyer to the first court. This happened to my neighbor and all he had to do was pay some fines and that's it. No jail. No having to get a different license. Nothing. Just some hefty fines.

just go to the court and show ur valid washington license.
then u pay $14.
if u don't go, u pay about $350.
u can go to the court at anytime.
by the way, the infomation about the ticket will not be shown on-line.

yes, some states actually don't even bother to check your status when it is sent to "court". well, it is still a court, but you understand what i mean, hahaaaa

so i will suggest most people - since many cities, towns and states are very pro-anti-undocumented, just pay the fine and leave yourself out of troubles.

I don't mean be nosy, but why do so many of you on here live in GA?

From what I hear, there are hardly any "legal" benefits and the police works with ICE.

Well, my family has been here since 1994. And back then we were in the process of filing with USCIS (for the first time), not to mention things weren't this bad with the Police.

I laugh all the time because we lived in NY.
