Please watch this short documentary; i guarantee you that you will find it very entertaining...

This is a documentary by Alexandra Pelosi, who also made Friends of God and The Trials of Ted Haggard. She travels south of the Unites States to get the views of some really conservative Americans who strongly distrust Barack Obama and anything liberal. Watch them share their feelings about the changing America they live in.

They're not the first people who's experienced a changing country. They need to get over it and adapt to things.

Watched the whole thing. These are some of the most patriotic you'll find in the country, though they are sorely, sorely mislead. For them, paying a higher rate of taxes than the wealthy is the way it should be, and anything other than that is lazy, evil socialism. Cynicism and Reagan were the two worst things to happen to this country in recent decades. Believe it or not, it was not always like this.

These are the people who, more than most, see the government as some cold, malevolent, detached entity and would rather legislate morality and privatize everything by voting Republican. The sad thing is, they see this as making the government more responsive to them. If only Eisenhower (a Republican who deviated not too much from New Deal/Fair Deal philosophy and presided over possibly the most economically prosperous decade in American history, the 1950s) were around; maybe they would listen to him instead of overtly anti-anything hacks like Rush Limbaugh and most of Fox Noise.

what surprised me the most about this movie is the fact that one of those rednecks said he doesn't want women to vote; damn that's just such an old mentality.

everything is old in their towns, the cars are super old, their houses are old, they wear old-fashion clothing. they seemed very isolated from the rest of the U.S.

oh man, parents are the best medicine to a child growing up; they play a huge role.

I like the part where they give Sean Hannity the rockstar treatment at a McCain rally.

Wow... that guy at the beginning.. "you can't drink beer in this country, you can't go to t*** bars in this county because you're a bad person." Did that really bring tears to his eyes?

"Illegal immigrants coming here. They get all the rights, we get nothing."

What the fuck is this guy on?

They even say "christian" in an ignorant way.

Ugh, and the mom teaching her kids to be ignorant just like her.. I agree with Alex..

This whole thing is just sad. I couldn't even watch more than 5min of it..
