CSUN as an California State University Northridge? I don't see why they would want you to prove that you lived in Las Vegas? You dad should be able to claim you if you get an ITIN number. I claimed my mom when I was working and both of us have an ITIN number. Give me the specifics and I will let you know more. My friend is a councelor at CSUN.

oh my bad. Well, try to get an ITIN so that your dad can claim you. I wish I could have been of some help but I don't know much about Nevada. Good luck though!

I am not entirely sure I understand the scenario, but if you're planning on handing in forged documents, I would say that is a really bad idea. See if you can pay out-of-state tuition for just one semester, and then see if you're allowed to change your out-of-state status to in-state for Spring 2010.

Before then, get an individual tax-payer ID number and I believe you can then be documented as a dependent then, with that number.

We're all in a horrible situation, but be as honest and safe as possible.
