His reform effort this year = drafting the legislation, which we already have a few versions of from previous years.

And I believe Schumer said the bill would be ready by sometime in september.

So all in all, that means we ain't gonna get sh*t done this year, which echoes with other recent posts.

Sorry I'm just a lil frustrated.

Exactly. Do these people not realize that we've been educated in this county and have bullshit radars? Hahahahahaha. The bottom line is he LIED and got people to vote on this issue for him last November because he promised to approach it within the first 3 months of his presidency. He said he hopes to have a draft. So guys, drink the kool aid. Just remember when someone doesn't come through, just keep hoping and take their word that they will come through...some day...in the future...maybe...we'll see.

when did he say that he would approach it within the first 3 months of his presidency? as far as i remember, he always said that the economy and health care would be his first priorities.

Don't lose hope the year is not over. Also things are not going to happen over night. There are other priorities beside immigration.

At least there's some talk of drafting a legislation this year... I'd prefer this slow action over NOTHING. Sure, it annoys me when they're moving at a snail's pace but for Americans, the economy and health care comes before some illegal kid's college dreams and future.

Nothing is getting done actually, Obama and the dems are turning out to be a huge disappointment...but thats my fault for having such high hopes on them.

Guess i wont make it by the time CIR passes. Darn.
