The question is this:

Lets say you have a friend, not your best friend, but just a friend. And by chance you discover his/her partner is having an affair with another man/woman.

Would you tell him/her? And how would you do it?

Well, of course. What kind of friend would I be if I didn't? Cheating is never okay, and I'd hope my friend would do the same for me.

DUH.

just tell her, however you need to. Keep in mind though that its a sensitive subject and she will probably deny it at first. So its up to you whether you continue to try to persuade her or just let it be. But seeing as she's "just a friend," chances are she's going to dismiss it as being a rumor.

I would just say it, like feenmi said. I'd explain how I discovered it, and even if it turns out to be just a rumor. If you "heard" that the person might be cheating, let your friend know that you are unsure. I think the friend deserves to know, just to be safe.

I'd definitely want to know, so if I found out someone was cheating on one of my friends, I'd let he/she know immediately.

yeah, but you would tell them to meet you somewhere, or would you just do it over the phone?

I'd do it either way. It's not like you're the one cheating....right? Haha
But I guess if you want to be all sensitive and stuff, you can meet them somewhere.

It's really not that complicated.
