Alrite given the whole wait on the dream act i was wondering if they were any benefits to having a child with a USC. My now ex gf and I have a two month old daughter together and i was wondering if my daughter could be a resource in reaching legalization, being that im not a citizen here. Ive been on the grind trying to find work but my status is so skewed that Im not able to even get an I.D. so i was wondering if anyone knew of any benefits in the immigration struggle, to having a child with a citizen.
Thanx all input is greatly appreciated because im at a roadblock in life and cant find a solution to just getting an I.D.

The only small benefit i know is once your daughter reaches the age of 21, she could sponsor you through the family visa category.

Why did you have a baby when you knew it might be impossible to support her? And you and your girlfriend aren't even together any more? You're moving fast in the wrong direction, making your life more complicated. Good luck.

Honestly if I were you I would try to reconcile with her.. NOT just for the visa but for your daughter and to make a family..try counseling if she or you have major issues..
Like they said you are making things more complicated..
Just imagine if you could be a happy family together AND you were legal?

with all honesty there is no benefit for u to have a daughter that is legal my bro is in the same situation broke up with legal gf and has a daughter born here got a lawyer and nope no benefits...dont mean to dip in ur personal life but since other's have put in their input about u goin in the wrong direction look u have a daughter and ur broke well that life im sure u love her money isn't everything ppl...and u gf...ppl shouldn't judge u or label u as the bad one for breakin up with her...u guys have differences and that's it....ppl should keep their negitive comments to themselves and mine their own persnoal life.....

Nop. Unless you wait 19 more years so she can sponsor you. If you thought having a child was going to get you a green faster, you had the wrong thoughts.

I wish the best for you and your child.
