- Healthcare reform is crucial for Hispanic Americans because reforming the U.S. healthcare system is linked to immigration reform, U.S. President Obama said.
"My commitment is real and so is my desire to get this (immigration reform) done," Obama said Wednesday during the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute's 32nd Annual Awards Gala.
Before he spoke, Sen. Bob Menendez, D-N.J., told crowd, "I know he's going to help us with comprehensive immigration reform."

Uhh...calm down man. It's politics, what do you expect? And Obama is a human, not a god, give the man some time.

I just wish someone in the know would give us a straight answer, but then again like i said earlier, it's politics which means beating around the bush as much as you can. I still have faith that something's gonna give, good or bad.

Me too. So far he's done a lot of what he'd promised in his campaign. I don't like how it seems that immigration as been put to the way side. But I want to see if this is really is going to dig in and get us what we need.

Politics - the art of promising everything to everyone. Whether the President delivers or not ... well we have a better chance with him than we could have ever had with McCain/Palin. *shudder*

Give it some time peeps. I've been here for over 16 years and I'm willing to wait a few more months as long as it gets done right.

ok u been here 16 years right so that means u came here when you where about 5 and your 21 now am i correct ? so the early parts of your life your high school days Ur parents probably took care of you meaning helped you with what you need.??? u probably entered college straight from high school so you'll probably qualify for financial aid not so ? your life is probably now starting and you might want to go to graduate school to so let me ask u this. i ponder this everyday i took 2 years or 3 yrs off after high school i cant get steady job, my family don't give me shit my parents want to kick me out knowing my situation. i have to pay bill and i dont work anywhere, nor have any sort of income , i dont even know what is keeping me from heading to the negative side of life , i stopped from continuing my degree in college like 3 times because i couldn't afford tuition and i cant get no sort of financial aid i want to go back so badly , i know my life is not that bad compare too others.
because there are worst out there but what would you do if u live like that if every time u get a little break u get shot right back down to the bottom where sometimes u feel like there is no hope 4 u at all
