Hello everyone,
I just signed up this week but i've been reading your posts for a while now. Im 21 and currently attending a community college. Like many of you here, im really setting my hopes on the DREAM Act so I can continue my education. I came here with my parents when I was 7, i knew about my status when i was really young. I didn;t really feel the effects of it until i hit high school. I wanted a job, i wanted to be able to get my DL but realized that i would never be able to. This gave me the impression that i would not have any opportunities after i finished high school. Oh how wrong i was! im glad im able to attend a community college for now, but my hopes are to pursue a career in the medical field ...very hard w/o a ssn!
I just really hope this comes through this time. There are so many people like me that consider the U.S. their homes, they know nothing but the U.S... and to not be allowed to have an education is just sad. We are all just trying to get an education that in the end will benefit america. Anyways im really glad to be part of this forum, and be able to share and listen to other people experiences that are similar to mine.
