Colleges and DREAM

Hey Everyone!

If You Are Currently Attending College, Please Join Some Sort Of Hispanic Organization And Try To Advocate For The Dream Act In Your School. After You Do This, Take Up The Dream Act To The President Of Your School, And Explain To Him What It Is So That He Can Publicly Support It. Many Top Schools Across The Nation Have Been Doing This, Including Harvard, Cornell, Yale, Princeton...i Think That If Schools Express Their Desire For The Dream Act To Actually Be A Reality, Then The Chances Of Things Happening Are Going To Be So Much Higher In The Coming Session When Immigration Reform Is Debated. We Need To Start Organizing Again And Truly Spreading The Positive Word About Dream Act!!

Kudos to that. I am a first year at my college, but several of us have joined together to form a DREAM Team on our campus. We had an awareness march this past month for the National Day of Action, as well as online petitioning, t-shirts, and flyers. WOOOOO!
This month were all attending a book signing/panel for a book written on undocumented students by William Perez. I will buy it soon. lol.

Has anyone heard about Papers: The Movie? We are scheduled to have a screening of it on our campus in November. I am so excited. There is lots of support on campus and hope to see it spread everywhere. =]
