Why I ask the question:
As the dream act did not pass, I took initiative to commit a vice for something that I strongly believe will yield a greater good. Thus, I work for a prestigious company...I have consistently exposed effort to learn, work, and perform efficiently. However, The company is asking for a type of Federal I.D. , Twic Card, that I cannot obtain. I am thinking of coming clean and asking for help, I have a feeling that they will help me in any way shape or form. I need information relating to the tittle subject of this thread, is it possible? Please help...I will make a decision on this sooner rather than later...awaiting your comments..

Do you qualify as a derivative beneficiary of 245i or came in legally with a visa? If not, it's impossible.

I'm not certain about this, but don't companies need to provide proofs showing why they didn't hire qualified legal Americans before they can sponsor undocumented workers, right? I hear it's hard to get a sponsor if you don't have a valid visa.

Unless you're covered by some sort of waiver, you can't adjust your status through employment while you're still in the country undocumented. And unfortunately, once you leave, you'll get the 10 yr ban.

^also (assuming you are under 245i), aren't there really long backlogs for employment based sponsorship unless you have a Masters degree?

I do qualify, I have a pending application. We applied through my dad's brother who is a citizen. As far as I know this process can take up to 10 yrs. But, why is this significant? Does my probability to be sponsored increase if I covered under 245i? Can you please expound on, "derivative beneficiary of 245i". awaiting yours....thanks for your comments...
