Good thing you stopped working for this guy.

Now, if I were in your shoes I would go to his house and talk to him personally. Wait as for as long as you need. Tell him you want your money, and explain he can pay you about $100 a week until the debt is paid off.

$100 a week is not much, but at least is something. And eventually you will get your money.

That's why you should always try to protect yourself when you are working, even if it is under the table or whatever. If you are getting paid cash, keep a notebook where you can log your hours and make sure your employers sign it, that way you can have something on paper that you can use against them in case they mistreat you or neglect to pay you.

By the way, I'm going through tough times, I would like to hire you as my assistant, I promise to pay you when I can.... haha kidding... sorry..
