Hi. I just so tire of being here and not be able to do anything. I would like to help my dad and at least go to a community college but I don't have a job. I would take any job right now. I'm so tired of going around and be treated like an american citizen and I'm not. I want to talk to someone who doesn't know and that I will never see again. I just wish I would be free. at night I go for a walk and sometimes even cry. I though about suicide before but I don't think I would be able to do it. I don't want my parents to think that I'm lazy, I'm just trying to find a job and I can't. I feel so weak..

I feel the same way TS except I already have some college units about 70 done...

Anyways I don't see how some of you guys have jobs without faking PR card, my dad wants me to get one but I don't want one since that would ruin the dream act for me

"When things go wrong as they sometimes will;
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill;
When the funds are low, and the debts are high
And you want to smile, but have to sigh;
When care is pressing you down a bit-
Rest if you must, but do not quit.
Success is failure turned inside out;
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt;
And you can never tell how close you are
It may be near when it seems so far;
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit-
It's when things go wrong that you must not quit."

Stay strong!

i dont really think so.. u dont need a pr card. some restaurants will hire you under the table or go into landscaping. paid in cash. i dont think it can really effect the dream act because ur not really doing something bad.

First thing is first. You have to put your situation into perspective so that you can really see what your options are. That is, do you live in a state that offers in state tuition to undocumented students. If you do, then community college might be really easy to afford... So, what state do you live in? The other thing is that if you are depressed, then you need to seek some counseling; there are many community clinics that offer such services free of charge and qualification does not depend on one's immigration status. As far as work goes, there are many things that you can do depending on where you live... Here are some ideas:

Tutor people
Do neighbors' yards
Fix computers (basic shit)
Bake and sell shit (other food things)

There are tons of things that you can do to get enough cash to get by. However, and if you can get away with it, I would suggest you concentrate on becoming the best student possible. I know that one can feel useless when unemployed. However, you can contribute in others ways. You can clean the house and leave it spotless, cook some good dinner for your parents, do the laundry, ect. Your parents will appreciate not having to wash dishes or any other shit that might add to their daily load.
