I know this topic was in sticky but apparently, that Sallie Mae Tuition Answer loans seem gone. They say it is no longer available and they are not sure when to reopen it.

FastWeb seems good for us but then it is a competition across the nations. It may help me become a better writer as I try them but I think it is kinda waste of time when my major is like math and science and besides I am a slow reader, so seriously I don't think it is good time investment for fastweb.

I did search some scholarships specifically for the undocumented students. However, most of them were like either for 12th grades and Hispanic one. I am Asian and I hardly see any laons&scholarships for Asian undocumented students. I may have seen some but I think they too were probably for 12th grades. I am already in 2nd year of community college.

I am not sure but PLUS loan doesn't really explicitly say about AB540 students. Since it is federal loan, it can't be available for us even if my parents are US citizen, right?

How did you guys get loans and scholarship?
Thanks for the replies.

You may want to look into Citi Assist Private Student Loan.

Not a loan, but since you asked, I had a full athletic scholarship.

If you're a few years away from college and are in our situation, I definitely recommend that you take on a sport. Not any of the big ones like basketball, football, soccer, or baseball -- unless you're really, really good -- but something non-mainstream. If you have a small amount of talent, and put in an enormous amount of work, you can have a good shot at making things happen.

I know this really doesn't apply to the OP but I just want to say this to the younger readers: WORK FUCKING HARD. I'm undocumented but I've done - and keep doing - some really cool things, things that my friends envy and are unsure or incapable of doing. If you're here on this board, you already know what's up, so don't let the time pass by and not do nothing to improve your situation.

Ok, so I have a question about this as well. A very good friend of mine may help me with getting a loan (usc co-signer) but I don't know what loans I should be looking at. I'm not looking for a very high amount. Under 5k in total, most likely. I'm a total newb at loans so any help is appreciated.
