Having to plead guilty would be the least of my worries. I'd plead guilty anytime if it meant I could have my citizenship.

"Other ideas that may be even more noxious to immigrant rights supporters are being discussed." would be something to worry about

"...plead guilty to illegal entry of the United States..."

Nope, no way! I was brought here when I was under age. I will not plead guilty to this nonsense. I will sooner take my ass back to the EU than cower to this madness.

Well, technically I did not gain illegal entry to US
It was completely legal. I had a tourist visa lol
But I guess if I must plead guilty for my rights to become citizenship...
Sure, why not?

In the debate for Immigration reform, both ends of the political spectrum should compromise and if, as the article says, we need to "swallow some bitter pills" then so be it. I wouldn't have an issue with that plead, in fact, such proposals help us out...

The main argument that Xenophiles, nativists and racists have against our cause if that, according to them, we would be given amnesty. If conditions are established then we would earn our legalization by paying taxes, learning English, getting an education and working hard for it, assimilating into the mainstream and even pleading guilty to illegal entry. It would just make it more appealing and you all know we NEED their support.
