Hello,

I am going to have lots of free time now that i am done transferring to a cal state so i wanted to contribute a little to DAP. First of all i was wondering how exactly you use the advocacy link to research politicians? My second question is, What type of information can we actually post about those politicians? Do we need to post voting record? If their conservative? What kind of district they have? etc. Thank you! your information is really appreciated.

Thanks for your initiative to help out with the project. Click Advocacy and then Browse the full list right in that corner where you see pics of some reps and senators. You will be taken to a page where you can find the senators/reps of your choice and click on them and you can edit the info about their stance on DREAM.

Also, you can support your findings by finding out their voting record on immigration bills or a simple email or phone call to their staffers and see what the response is. Every effort of your contribution earns you Advocacy Points.

Let me know if you need more help!

O.k. that sounds good. Yeah cause i already saw the list of the people who still need research and all that stuff but i was just wondering what type of information is acceptable to put on there. If it's like that i will get started on researching some of them as soon as possible.

Lots of Congressmen have their stance on immigration reform readily available on their websites. And several of the ones that I have found directly address aspects of the DREAM Act (i.e. instate tuition. drivers licenses). Check there first, and then if you don't see anything call or email their offices for a response on DA/CIR. And like Abaddon said, their voting records are also good sources of how they will vote on DA/CIR.
