Looking for Dreamers and advocates of Immigration Reform from Michigan and surrounding states .
Organizing and leadership training for students
Building the movement for immigrant rights
United We Dream is organizing 4 upcoming trainings in Michigan, Indiana, Arkansas and Massachusetts for new leaders, particularly youth, in the movement for immigration reform. Each training will provide a comprehensive introduction to organizing and leadership, including learning to tell your story and working effectively in teams to create a shared strategy and produce measurable actions.
Michigan: February 20-21st, Saturday 9am – Sunday 6pm
The trainings are designed to:
Teach basic organizing skills.
Help participants learn to tell their own stories and speak in public.
Train participants in the use of social media tools for outreach and organizing.
Provide an insider’s overview of the immigration debate.
Build leadership teams of five to six people in a geographic area.
Conduct a brief action to give participants a chance to practice newly learned skills.

Logistics:
Cost: A one-time $25 registration fee will cover food and lodging
Travel: Participants must make their own travel arrangements
Training will be hosted in Ann Arbor, Michigan
Training time: Begins at 9 AM on Saturday and concludes at 6 PM on Sunday

Thebeast will be going .. I need more details .. where exactly its going to be.. what kind of food its going to be served.. lol jk ... I live like 5 1/2 hours away from there but I thinl I can make it...
