ICE Want to talk to my dad?

Ok... so here is the problem..My dad had an accident three months ago. He hit someone it was a hit & Runbut he came back to the accident the guy was taken to the hospital but at the end he was ok.. My dad had insurance & driver's licence because he got in 2008 and has it until 2012! so he went to court and the judge decided that he will serve 30 days in jail and then he will be released. But now he got a call yesterday from the county jail and said that ICE want's to talk to him. WTF? what for?
Do you think that he might be deported? I totally depend on him.. he was going to he get release for his job but since he doesn't have a ssn he is not.. HELPP
-He has 4 US Citizen's kids..
-Has been here for 11 years
-was stopped once by immigration at the border.
-Has to report to jail tomorrow

If the jail is participating in the 287(g) program, then your dad is screwed. What state are you from?

I really doubt they want to contact your dad to go for a stroll in the park or dirty dance under a full moon.

Your dad should like contact a lawyer or something. And hey, not to try and scare you or anything but, if they have your current address, I'd crash at a friends house for a little while until things get sorted out. But that's just what I'd do. I probably don't know what I'm talking about.

My dad was applying to get work released but he didn't know that just legal residents could qualify so he went on and applied for. Yesterday his manager called the county jail to ask if he would be released for work ...but the one that answered at the county jail said ICE needs to talk to my dad before that. I think they decided to talk to him because he was asking for release. I reply worry because all of my siblings depend on him you know. I just told him to stop asking for his work release and just go and serve his 30 day tomorrow ... he has turn himself in tomorrow... at 8am...

Keep us updated. My dad has been arrested numerous times for driving with a suspended license..but he does have a ss#so I'm not sure if they suspected anything..But once I checked online and it said "deportation hold" on him..But they ended up releasing him anyway..and he still has never been deported..even after getting stopped plenty of time afterwards years later.
