After looking more into the DREAM act i found out that one of the requirments is to have a "Good moral character". Failing to reqister for the Selective service can result in being disqualified from having "Good moral character".

I never knew about this and im 19 years old now. Can anyone offer me some more information on this and if failing to register after 30 days of your 18 birthday or registering late will result in any sort of disqualification from the requirment of having good moral character.

Sorry if this question was posted and anwsered before.

Thanks.

Got this from the selective service website - front page.

" ATTENTION, UNDOCUMENTED MALES
& IMMIGRANT SERVICING GROUPS!

If you are a man ages 18 through 25 and living in the U.S., then you must register with Selective Service. It’s the law. You can register at any U.S. Post Office and do not need a social security number. When you do obtain a social security number, let Selective Service know. Provide a copy of your new social security number card; being sure to include your complete name, date of birth, Selective Service registration number, and current mailing address; and mail to the Selective Service System, P.O. Box 94636, Palatine, IL 60094-4636.

Be sure to register before your 26th birthday. After that, it’s too late!

Selective Service does not collect any information which would indicate whether or not you are undocumented. You want to protect yourself for future U.S. citizenship and other government benefits and programs by registering with Selective Service. Do it today."

What if you have a "Not Valid For Employment" SSN? Should I still use it?

Weird. Who woulda thought...I see how it works, they won't give us citizenship, but they still expect us to fight. Hmp. Well I'm a girl...I'm just a little surprised how things work.
