I just need to vent to people on here because unfortunaly i dont know other people that could understand except for my sisters i guess but having support from other in my situation helps me keep my sanity.
well tonight I was very excited for this special volunteer meeting for people that want to collect signatures for an Innitiative that we want presented to the voters of my state this nov. , nothing to do with the dream act but it is of high importance to me for personal reasons and most importantly for the well being of my state and certain latin american countries. I came into this meeting with high hopes and excited to be part of something i believe will be revolutionary but I came out trying to hold back tears. I didnt even give it a thought but of course every signature gatherer needs to be a registered voter aka us citizen. it reminds me of all the things im barred from doing due to the fact that I'm an undocumented american. and how silly it could sound to be sad about not being able to gather signatures but with that you're reminded, you live in the shadows and you must remain there or else. now all the people I was networking with and all my friends are gonna be puzzled when i tell them I unfortunaly cant be part of this thing that I've looking forward to doing for so long.
just a rant but it feels better to write it down on this forum where I could at least tell the story...
