hey guys i just got some news from my community is this true..?

there is two news that i got but those two are so different that

i don't know what to belive..



one is that obama has gave upon the immigration reform.


and the one was that they are gonna do the immigration reform as the piece-meal plan..




if they do the piece meal plan,, it's gonna happen way quick right?..

Piece meal may or may not happen. It depends on what Obama decides to do regarding comprehensive immigration reform. The Democrats will definitely lose seats in the upcoming elections so it would be best to try and get at least the Dream Act passed before then.

Anyone know what bills may be brought up in the near future? Perhaps we could pressure Mr. Durbin to attach it to something soon. But of course, that is assuming CIR is dead for this election year.

News that big would hit national newspaper.

Before anything gets passed it will be debated. Immigration is a serious issue, it's not like "national park commission reform". When it gets debated..look back to 2006-07. There is 0% chance that immigration reform will be done as a piece-meal plan. Piece meal with what??? Obama can't even pass his plan as is.

Obama wouldn't openly say that he has given up on CIR. That's political suicide. And from what I've read, CIR has to fail before a peicemeal attempt is made. in order for CIR to fail, it must first be introduced.

if CIR does fail, then Durbin would push DA a different way. Not before. I could be wrong though.

Dang, things just keep getting peachier and peachier, don't they.

It's so hard to wait around sometimes.

What's a piece meal plan?

Think of CIR as the whole pie and "piece meal" as just a slice of the pie.

Yeah, but what if CIR -doesn't- fail?
What I mean is... what if it doesn't even get introduced at all, for it to even have a chance to fail??? =/

What will he do about the Dream Act THEN?
