And he's willing to marry me, so today I am sending the forms.

It was so embarrasing guys, I felt so insignificant and almost like a nobody. He didn't care because he loves me and said he will visit me in Mexico if I stay for more than 2 months which I hope not but I probably might.

I am still embarrassed , this identity guys....we don't deserve?

You came with or without documentation? That matters. And if you leave, it won't be for two months.

cheer up and put a smile on. the point is that he still loves you and he didn't dump you for for your status and most importantly he is willing to marry you!
your right none of us deserve to live in the shadows, but quick question what forms are you sending and why are you going to mexico?

Yes, this is very important! Shouldn't you get married first before sending out forms? Or are you applying for a fiance visa?

I am sending the k1 visa aka the fiance visa and the 601. My bf has a heart desease number one reason he can't move to mexico in my allegation.

It is better to get marry after according to what a bunch of people say. I am calling the lawyer today to see what she says.

Health concerns will usually help your case, definitely contact your lawyer and consider all your options.

Good luck!

Yes definitely consult a lawyer first!!!! I thought your BF already knew.. And this status you're talking about, sucks.. We can't help but feel like aliens in this country..

Best of luck!! Keep us updated.. and make wise choices you wouldn't want a reform to take place that could help you out and you've already chosen to leave.

I read that the fiance visa is processed faster at the Consulate. But once your 601 is approved, you'd have 90 days to get married and then file the AOS. So, you won't be allowed to work on entry and since you're going to be doing AOS, you'd have to pay the $1010 fee. So, this could be quite costly.

While checking the immigrate2us.net forum, I read that you can get married, file i-130, then file i-129F to speed up the Consular processing. With the i-130, once the waiver is approved/passport stamped, you can work right away and you're done with all that paperwork.

With your bf's heart condition, maybe your lawyer can check to see if you might be able to get your i-601 expedited?

I have a family member who might be doing this pretty soon, so good luck with yours
