6 p.m ET-Democrats just voted for the procedure and had more than 216 votes, with no single republican voting in favor.

6:18 p.m ET-The vote going on right now is to allow general debate on health care. If democrats have 216 votes for this vote, then it is highly likely that they have 216 votes for Health Care to pass.

Edit to add: Posted in wrong section, oops.

6:01 p.m ET-Procedure
228 in favor
202 against

6:29 p.m ET-General Debate
224 in favor
206 against

6:40 p.m ET
General Debate Starts

It is estimated that the voting for the passage of the bill will occur at approximately 9:30 p.m ET.

Quote:
An early House vote on the rules for debate passes 224 to 206, presaging that Democratic leaders have more than the margin needed for passage of the healthcare overhaul later in the evening.

Approximate time for voting has been pushed to 10 p.m ET

Two bills will be voted on shortly. The first bill is the bill the Senate already passed. If the House of Reps passes it, President Obama will sign it into law. Remember this bill does not have to go back to the Senate.

The "fix" bill is the second one that will get voted on tonight. This bill, if passed, will then go back to the Senate. The purpose of this bill is to fix all the issues in the first bill.

10:33 p.m ET-Voting has begun on the first bill, H.R 3590 (Senate Bill)

H.R 3590
219-in favor
212-against

Let me tell you, its pretty intense watching the vote count. This bill is now ready for President Obama to sign it into law.

Quote:
The House will next vote to consider a bill that makes changes to the Senate bill. A third vote will send that "legislation of fixes" to the Senate under reconciliation rules, which would require only 51 votes to pass that chamber.

11 p.m ET- Procedural vote on reconciliation bill
199-in favor
232-against

The procedural vote failed. A vote on the reconciliation bill is underway.

11:21 p.m ET-Vote on Reconciliation Bill
220-in favor
211-against

Quote:
With Vice President Joe Biden presiding in case his vote was needed to break a tie, the Senate approved the measure by 56-43
source

Quote:
Earlier, the Senate voted 56-43 to approve the fixes, clearing the way for the House's final 220-207 confirmation vote later in the evening.
