Its moving quite fast.

Hell Fuc*%$ yea ... they moved up a whole year !! if only they could reopen and extend 245i . . ..

My priority day is July 06 . . .but unfortunately i cannot adjust status here . . . .. . WAITING for at least the 245i....

My pd is april 01 in category F4.

I talked to a lawyer (well my parents did) and she said in order to qualify for 245i you not only have to show prove that you were here before the deadline, but you also had to have been petitioned for, either as the main beneficiary or a derivative beneficiary.

If you don't mind me asking, what category are you?

Thanks for posting (I've been checking for it lately). My sister's interview is next month (I think because she EWI but with 245i) and her priority date will still be current in June... so we're hoping that all goes well.

Yep , and not only you have to prove you were here before the deadline but be petitioned before the deadline ( which is April 2001) as well ... now my question is , since my pd is July 06 , they supposedly seen my case already given the fact that they are seeing JAN08 for my category. but my real question is ,will i loss the visa spot and start all over if lets say some kind favorable immigration is pass if i dont send any papers and fees to them? Because i spoke to a lawyer 8 months ago and he told me not to send any papers or fee to them because it was a waste since i cannot adjust here...

What category are you though? F1, f2a, f2b, f3, or f4?
As far as proving I was here, I have my I-94 and we applied right on time to be pardoned by 245i.

But was your petition filed before April 2001?

It was filed in april. Lawyer said it got right on time. One more day and it would of been too late. So my family has been blessed.
