An immigration status has nothing to do with the crimes people choose to commit.

Dude, I didn't even need to read the link. The media only covers stories to their liking/ their sponsor's likings and many people rely on the media like a bible of what's going on in reality. Not much you can do unless you own your own hit broadcast show.

There was an article in the Los Angeles Times a few days ago that made it seem as though crime was actually down along the Arizona-Mexico border....

FBI records do prove that crimes have been down. there are more personnel on the border than ever before, more criminal deportations under Obama, the border is safer than it was a few years ago, so the L.A Times was right (unless your being sarcastic)

No, I was being serious. I get sick about all the myths conservatives pander about immigration: the border is not secure; Obama has an "amnesty" plan; Obama is doing less to secure the border than Bush; illegals suck up welfare; the list seems to go on ad infinitam.

I was thinking, by the way, that somebody needs to report every time a U.S. citizen kills a rancher on the border, or some other crime like that. You could pretty easily make it sound like citizens were a big ass threat as easily as non-citizens by clever rhetoric and emphasis of stories. This is all the right does.
