They're fighting for the preliminaries. I heard the Democrats already know who's going up, so they're not spending money advertising until the BIG election comes up.

The reason you haven't seen any ads by Jerry Brown is that he doesn't need to be wasting money right now. Both Whitman and Poizner have been self-financing their campaigns (Whitman has cut herself a check for $65 million while Poizner has ponied up $20 million out of his own pocket too). Despite almost $100 million spent on the Republican side, and practically zero spent on the Democratic side, Jerry Brown is leading BOTH Whitman and Poizner in the polls.

After the primary election next week, you will see a lot more Jerry Brown. But since he's not a millionaire like his Republican counterparts, he has to be wise when it comes to spending. He's sitting on a $20 million war chest, and it's up to us volunteers to help that number grow so he can be competitive.

Yes, Brown is up in the polls. There is no way either of them can win when they have gone so far right.

There's no way Brown's going to win. California voters almost always side with moderate Republicans.

Meg Whitman went hard right after Poizner accused her of being soft on immigration. I'm really tired of their commercials, pure mudslinging.
