I'm helping Tolu with United We Dream in D.C. put together a story database of Dreamers that she can pull for press stories as needed as the fight for Dream this year ramps up. If any press is interesting in including your story, Tolu will first contact you to get your approval & more info before continuing, which is why we need known contacts & can't just use the written stories that we have collected.
So please reply as early as possible with the following info:
1. Full Name (will be kept private):
2. Preferred Identity for Press (pick one): Anonymous, Middle Name only, Initials, First Name only, or Full Name
3. Contact Information (also kept private): Phone number & e-mail address
4. A 1 paragraph summary of your story, including:
a. Year of arrival to the U.S.
b. Age upon arrival
c. Current age
d. Country of birth/nationality
e. Background of why your family left/decision to come here
f. Your current achievements and interests (including graduation is that's applicable to anyone this year)
If you already have a typed version of your story that includes the above info, then you can just send that to me instead with your contact info and press preferences.
If you all could start forwarding this to Dreamers in your groups/base and ask that they please fill it out & send it back to me ASAP that'd be great, as we really need these collected this week. Also, if you know any other graduating Dreamers, PLEASE forward to them and let them know the same I'd appreciate it.
