I live in San Diego, greatest city in the world. If the dream act doesn't happen by next summer I will be going down to study in a university in tijuana where my cousin graduated for industrial chemistry. Since I will be leaving by the time I am 18, I will not have any ban. Hopefully being in college down there I can try to get a Border Crossing Card to visit family and friends since it could be enough evidence for them to know that I would want to leave the US after my visit. I will then try to get a student visa after a year.

If the dream act passes while I am over here...well that sucks lol. If the CIR passes, my parents will still be here and they can apply. If they get the green card, they can petition me and I'm back over here.

If neither the CIR or Dream Act pass, my little brother can petition me (he's a USC) when he's 21 and I'm 28 (12 years from now).

I am also developing this huge idea on how people discuss things they want to talk about on a website. I swear it has never been thought of like this and I want to keep it secret for now. I hope to make some income out of this. If I am successful enough, I can invest $500,000 in an american company that will create jobs and I can apply for green card.

I can also win the Nobel Prize for Awesomeness and apply from fame for a green card lol (jk). Maybe I start going out with the girl I've liked for a while and if that turns into "true love" maybe we make something happen there.

What do you guys think? I think I have a lot of possibilities.

Woah. I think you are way in over your head. Seriously man, get your mind right.

Because everyone knows that San Diego is not the greatest city in the world. The greatest city in the world is obviously Dallas!

Anyway, I truly hope things work out for you and that your dreams come true.

lol @ Dallas...

Kid, life in Mexico isn't easy. It's not as bad as everyone makes it out to be, but it's also not the US.

My advice: listen to the lemon cliche.

Make the best of your current situation. You live in a city that looks quite rad.

If in a years time things don't look brighter, do what you have to.

I lived in Mexico between 6th and beginning of 8th grade. I have an idea for how it is. Tijuana isn't that bad either.

If you're planning on leaving thinking that you'll be able to immigrate to the U.S. legally within a couple of years.. I think that's looking at it too optimistically. I think that if you were to leave, you should ready yourself emotionally for the worse-case scenario (no student visa, no CIR, no DREAM Act) so that you're not in a constant emotional state that's like, "Oh no, my life is forever ruined because I'm now stuck in this lame country that's not America." And instead, if you do happen to get a visa or some form of residency, you can be like, "Holy shiznit, I wasn't expecting it and was slowly building a life in Tijuana, but this is awesome".

I think that made sense.
I got a website that will make me $500,000 that I can invest in american business for a green card ....hopefully lol

I feel like I have a good chance actually. Maybe in a few years they fix the long quota lines.
