I meet all the requirements and I will be leaving America before I turn 18, is it really that hard?

There will be a background check in which they will know you have been in the US before. As such, you are a liability because you are likely to them in their eyes to overstay visa since you have US ties.

Also, student visas are awarded to those who can show they can afford tuition and everything else. They will ask for proof of such moneys in your account.

So yes, it is actually very hard to get a student visa.

1. I was smuggled in...no visa. And they say that none of this time as a minor will be held accountable.

2. I can afford it no problem.

Your school records? That's accessible. Upon finding out that you were educated in America, it will ring alarms to them. Also, even if you have not accrued illegal presence because of your age, they will still take into consideration that you have been here and have ties.

Just sayin'. Doesn't hurt to try, eh?

Just making sure, you're taking into account that you'll be an international student paying on average ~$48,000 per year right?

Heh, well I went through the process of showing a certificate of finances to my private university that I could afford that. I was able to for a few years until my father ran off with another woman. ):

Explain? Just looking at an option that would add to my backup plan.
