An animated Schumer could be seen meeting with the protesters from the hallway outside his office before rushing off. He declined to speak with ABC on-camera.

He did find ten minutes of his time to come tell us that what we’re doing is frustrating for him,” said Yadira Alvarez, a 2010 Columbia grad and hunger striker, who said Schumer told the protesters he can’t move the bill without five more co-sponsors in the Senate.

Nice find! He said it himself... five more! I hope he didn't say that to divert attention from him to other senators (and to keep us busy lobbying them instead of him).

Really? I can understand why Schumer is frustrated, because I know he truly wants to pass CIR.

But maybe we should call again and again to get 5 more co-sponsors and see what he'll say then.

We should start another one of those Operation Fill Them Up but let's take it seriously this time. We are so pressed against time.

2-4 weeks left.. ):

Who hasn't co-sponsored the bill yet but are likely targets?

Edit: Did ABC remove that post?

Edit 2: This link seems to be working...

Democrats have more votes than they did in 2007, but it is not clear that they have enough support to pass the DREAM Act on its own.

That above link seems outdated, since it says Senator Boxer of California will not be voting (but she has said she will).
