Roll Call: "President Barack Obama will sit down with lawmakers Tuesday to discuss immigration reform, a Hill source confirmed. The White House Office of Legislative Affairs on Friday e-mailed select lawmakers to invite them to attend the hourlong meeting at the White House, set to begin at 3:40 p.m.

Obama will also huddle with congressional leadership on immigration.

This talk always comes up whenever possible action of the DREAM act is raised. It seems the senate meeting where the DA was the focus have raised the hopes of CIR activists to hop on once again. Just ignore the talk and keep advocating for the DREAM Act. Nothing else is possible.

Talk their way out of doing anything. No one is buying this; like the post above reads, they stage this get-togethers whenever they feel the heat on their heels to pass immigration reform. I say we should ignore it and continue. Like that famous WWII poster that seem to be reappearing everywhere now "Keep Calm and Carry On".

President Obama will meet with "grassroots leaders" to discuss immigration legislation at 3:15 p.m., the White House said. The meeting is closed to the press.

The National Immigration Forum says Labor Secretary Hilda Solis and Interior Secretary Ken Salazar will be in the meeting to discuss the Justice Department's lawsuit against Arizona's new immigration law. Participating in the meeting, according to the group, are the group's executive director, Ali Noorani; AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka; Rev. Sam Rodriguez; NCLR President Janet Murguia; SEIU executive vice president Eliseo Medina, SEIU; and Juan Rodriguez of the Florida Trail of DREAMs

I hope he reminds Obama of the promise he made during the 2008 presidential debates about passing the dream act immediately. I sent him a message on facebook to urge him to try to make that point because the meeting is filled with CIR only advocates.

Why wasn't "America's Voice" , Frank Sharry, invited? He's lately been critical of this administration in public. I wonder...
