I have an interview for that position at a subs joint. Won't say the name to protect the company.

The interview is on Monday. A store manager from a previous deli I worked at is going to write me a letter of recommendation. My resume is pretty solid considering the fact that I have only had three jobs. I'm confident I can get the job, however, do you think I can become a manager? I know they hire regular employees (who have no "papers")

I know for a fact that another type of sub joint hires managers regardless of status. I know, because a friend is one and he is in my position. But they're both different companies.

What do you guys think?

^^^lol I knew that was coming.

Of course you can. Present yourself well, dress to kill, and learn as much as you can about the business before you get there.

I actually work at a sub shop in Las Vegas and I'm the assistant manager there. They have offered me a job as a regular manager a couple of times but I've had to turn them down because of school. So I'm sure you will have no problem getting a job as manager.

jothesh2.....How do you like Vegas?

I'm thinking of moving soon, don't know where, just somewhere. I'm sick of NY.

Why what's wrong with NY?
Well all my family from my moms side lives over here. Moving back to las vegas is a pain, but thats where I belong.

Anyways, if you come and need a place to stay just let me know. I'll definitely let you stay at my apartment till' you get everything together.

Well...to sum it all up. NY is way too expensive for someone in our situation. I don't like living with my family. I'd like a place of my own but prices aren't affordable. I can't afford to live on my own and go to college.

Work. While I am thankful to have a job, I would like a better one but I have't been able to find a better one. I used to bartend at nights as a side job but that coupled with a full school schedule and a full time job is driving me nuts.

In general, I need a fresh start. I don't know if this makes any sense to you but I need to be elsewhere.

Thanks for the offer. I am looking at several options if nothing works out I will definitely contact you.
