Sen. Robert C. Byrd, who holds the record as the longest-serving member of Congress, is seriously ill in a Washington-area hospital.

The West Virginia Democrat's office says the 92-year-old lawmaker has been in the hospital since late last week.

God forbid he dies, that would be one less anti- DREAM and immigration vote to counter in the senate. His replacement would be made by Governor Joe Manchin a Democrat and maybe we can get someone that can side with us on DREAM...

I'm wondering if the replacement would be any different than Byrd on this issue. It is West Virginia, after all.

I can only wish for him the same thing he wishes for me and people like me.

Well the guy is pretty old, i generally dont wish people to die, but in his case and how he is useless to our cause, and his career in the kkk, i really hope he goes belly-up really soon.

I don't see how anyone can wish death in this case, it is just wrong and inhumane on so many levels..but I do hope this forces him to retire because I believe he is a bad senator.

Yeah, bitch needs to die. Like, now.

And they need to play this mess at his funeral to the tune of O Furtuna:

Well let's see...he was in the KKK. He is clearly a racist, anti-immigrant, and could care less for people like you and I. Give me a fu**ing break here. I don't wish him death, but I don't wish him a speedy recovery. I'm not a hypocrite. I won't lie just to sound politically correct in front of you guys. I wish him the same thing he has always wished for people not of his race. Let the lord give him what he deserves and let his soul rest where the consequence of his actions lead it.
