I found this interesting analysis. It seems although Obama is ready to give speeches on immigration, this is only to keep the Hispanic voters on the democrat side in November. No real urgency or leadership has been presented from the White House.

I think we all noticed that much right after he gave his sorry excuse for a speech. I hope he remembers this when Latinos give him the boot!

Latinos won't unfortunately. Democrats have done a great job convincing Hispanics they care about us, the other side doesn't.

“Politicians are like diapers, they both need changing regularly and for the same reason.”

I really hope Obama is not doing the votes, rather for the justice that we deserve...

Yes, let's punish Obama. It's going to be easier to pass immigration reform with a republican majority in the house and 5 less dems in the senate.

It may be. And even if it isn't at least we'll know what future awaits us. We will know if we will get to stay or lave. With Democrats in power, playing around with our emotions by pretending to care while secretly not giving a crap, you'll always be hanging by a thread.

I'd rather know the truth, be it favorable to me or not, then to be misinformed.

If we had a republican president who supported CIR, it would be much easier to pass something.

Hmmmm. Not necessarily. We had Bush for 8 years, and here we are.
