HEy, I'm sorry if this has already been discussed but I'm new here. I tried to use the search but didn't find anything. Anyway...

I know a person that is not in the US legally, but she came here with her parents when she was very young. She graduated highschool and is a very good student and very smart. She recently took the COMPASS test for college placement and scored very highly.

However, she doesn't have ID, SS#, etc, and the community college that she was wanting to go to will not admitt her without paperwork. Is there some way around this so she can further her education here in the US? We live in Missouri, if that helps any at all.

Thanks.

If the cc does not accept her, i would strongly suggest that she applies at another cc. I have experienced this before, where a CC would not accept because of my status. Luckly, there were another CC that did accept me regardless of my status.

I can't help to think that this about you, and your just making it seem like its another person. That's just me though, anyway on a different note I think there a few other close by states that do allow in-state tuition for undocumented students.

If she's got the money for the tuition, then I suggest she looks into going at a private college near your/her area. CCs abide by state laws about accepting (or not) students with lack of status because they're public institutions. Private collages may have a different aproach, so that's an option to consider.

That is true , but private colleges are much more expensive and some of them require to pay everything at once, that is why most of them work with banks institutions to finance students tuition ,and there is when the real problem comes because banks are picky you must have a SS# , good credit score, and an state issue ID(dl). Im pretty sure there is a CC that will accept her.
