Biden: 'the heavy lifting is over'
By Michael O'Brien - 07/23/10 08:56 AM ET

The "heavy lifting is over" when it comes to the Obama administration's legislative priorities this year, Vice President Joe Biden said Thursday evening.

Biden said that, now Wall Street reform is finished and signed into law, the administration could go out and make its political case for its accomplishment.

“Now that the heavy lifting is over, we can go out and make our case,” Biden said at a fundraiser in North Carolina, according to a pool report.
"Heavy Lifting's Over?" Where does that leave us?

DreamAct and AgJobs aren't tough legislation; they have bi-partisan support. They know it; do not let up. That's what they want, to discourage people from keeping up the pressure, and to just agree to take their word that if they get to stay in office, they promise to do this "next time". Just like the past 10 years. By "they", I mean the Democrats.

Don't worry so much about the VP...or Obama for that matter. Besides a few speeches, what have either of them done to help pass legislation? Worry about the Senate. That's where our hope (in Congress) lies.

DA shouldn't be a tough legislation....I'd say it's the most logical legislation to pass right now.

Don't get your hopes too high on him getting asked a question about the DA.

Is anyone attending Netroots? We should have some activists/representatives there.

The Obama Administration has NOT been doing hard legislation since last year, when they abandoned don't ask don't tell to do the Healthcare Reform, or Insurance reform as I call it.
