Safest Road To Get To New Mexico

hey guys, im planning on moving out to new mexico in the next couple of days, but i was wondering if anyone knew the safest route or road, you know, about check points, sheriffs, or anything that could get me deported on the way there. Thanks.

Shoot! I totally forgot about the city im currently living in. I live in Arizona.

Don't know anything about roads, but here's some general suggestions:

No matter what road you take, don't break the law.

Make sure your tags and plates are valid, your lights are working, you're not driving on hi-beam, you're sober, always obeying speed limits, etc. Keep all your documents on you. Be aware of the laws. Look, act and sound as white as possible.

I would stick to I-40 and avoid small towns
