I wonder what Dreamer's political affiliation is.

Will Dreamers consider themselves to be conservative and vote Republican when they become citizens someday?

Or will you tell your children never to vote Republican when they grow up?

I swing right on a few issues. But I will never vote for any candidate who is anti-immigrant. In fact I'm tempted to go left.

I'm about as liberal as they come on social issues, and I still lean left on economic issues. So no, I will not vote republican, ever.

I'm leaving the US but still...
Just writing down some stuff that bugs me about republicans:

1. The free market doesn't solve everything by itself and they should know better...
With that said too much regulation can be a problem, but you can't let corporations get away with anything. Ex. Joe Barton, etc

2. The US needs affordable health care. Every other developed country either has universal health care, or at the very least has affordable health care. It's insane that you can go broke in this country just for getting sick, and to be honest, I'm glad I won't have to worry about this when going back to my home country. My grandfather's had around 5 heart attacks, but he hasn't lost his home.

3. I'm not a supporter of gay rights (I'd rather stay out of it) but Don't Ask Don't Tell should be repealed... it's nothing more than discrimination

4. They talk about lowering the deficit, but if you look at past history, republicans have been the ones driving it up. Obama has spent a lot, but the US is in the middle of a recession, and running two wars. What I also don't understand how they can want lower taxes at the same time... it's one or the other. People forget the US is in the middle of two wars. Wars don't come cheap

5. Lack of diplomacy. Do I need to say more? - this is enough to make me side with democrats.

6. Mixing religion with politics. Just leave religion out of politics like every other country.

7. Being the party of "no" and being proud of it... that's just beyond me. How about doing whatever you believe is for the common good, instead of saying no?

Now with that said, there are a lot of problems with democrats but republicans are much worse for the most part, and I can see myself supporting certain Republicans. Schwarzenegger (CA isn't doing well, but seems to be the CA legislature, and not him), McCain in 2000, etc.

Why would you vote for a party dead against a green card for you and your family?

I will always vote Republican. I hate democrats and everything they stand for. They are unorganized, uneducated, anti-business, liars who have hijacked most Hispanics by making them believe they are "for the little guy" when in truth they are not. They use welfare and Immigration as a way to keep minorities down and in poverty while making us believe that govt help is the way out of poverty when in reality welfare inhibits growth and innovation. It placates the human need to better yourself, to improve your life and that of your family by making you a dependant leech with no independant thought process.

And I assume you are a blue-eyed/blonde natural-born citizen from a red state who visited here to be amused by rambling of all the illegal immigrants pulling out their hair?

if not, support republican and they might give you a free one-way ticket to the country of your origin.

That's precisely why I would never vote Republican. The Democrats may not be much better since they're all pretty much running scared right now, but I'd rather vote for them then the party of the KKK.
