Any suggestions?

Gamble with my future and become an illegal now, or get stuck in EB3 waiting hell for years?

How would you become an illegal? By the way, I'm as well unsure of my situation; I have TPS and don't know if Dream Act would apply to me.

Yeah how? Also why would you want to be illegal?

I know that, but what is your situation, that would make you want to do this? are you on some visa that is going to expire soon, or something, or one that is limited. I just don't understand why anyone would want to go from being legal to illegal. We wont even be eligible for grants. Being illegal sucks!

It is not clear whether the DREAM Act will pass. To be honest, it has only a slim chance of passing the Senate. If you have legal status, stick to it. As far as I know, you can't suddenly become "undocumented" or "illegal". Your visa should expire before the Defense Authorization bill is signed by President Obama (if the DREAM Act is ever attached to it.)

I hope this is a joke... The DREAM Act isn't here to encourage anyone to come here/be illegal. It's simply here to fix a problem that is already here

Not at all, you are instantly an illegal if you are an H-1B and don't have a job. Unemployment could happen to anyone at any time in a terrible economy like this, and my experience of changing employer has taught me a lesson that I should not waste a opportunity like this. I was lucky this time, finding an employer willing to sponsor my H-1B when no one's hiring H-1Bs, but I may not be lucky the next time.

This has got to be the most craziest thing I have ever heard. Personally speaking, I lost most of my hope when dream act didn't pass in 2007 (i think that was the year). if you have legal status, i highly suggest you keep it.
