401k or CD

Are we able to get one if we have an ITIN? Or would we need our own business? Also, what about opening a CD?

I believe 401K's you can only get them through your job. It has to be on the books (ie teachers, any government job... so on). It's a pension plan for when you retire. I personally would not recommend this for you.

With CD's you can inquire that in any bank.

you can open a CD, my parents were able back when they did not have a status.
