Hey guys, any of you have any experiance selling stuff at flea markets? Me and my dad have come up with a way of getting name brand clothes at low prices and reselling them here in Chicago. What should i expect?

My parents do too and I help them out every weekend. Clothes sell really good at our flea market, especially the $1 clothes. I have also seen a few people who sell Aeropostale shirts (I'm not sure if they are authentic) at similar prices than those at the store and they seem to do fine. There's no such thing as consistency at flea markets so don't expect to always make the same every week.

clothes seem to be big items at flea markets. Just get informed about the ones in your area....you may have to rent the space for that day so you'll want to inquire, but i'd visit beforehand. Don't know if you're gonna be handling new or used, but there are auctions at the goodwills and salvation armies for ''lots'' that may be worth a look.

Idk about clothes either. I've been to practically all the flea markets in Chicago and they got crappy clothes all over the place already. Jefe's is right. You'd probably be better of selling electronics, pets (birds, fish, rodents etc.), bootleg movies or CDs, and idk what else.

I guess it varies in different locations... my mom focuses on toiletries and makeup. However, I find selling electronics difficult, but we have tried almost everything already..

I used to sell working gloves and hardware equipment at la garra on Maxwell Street while I was in high school. It paid less than minimum wage and i had to be out there in the freaking cold at 5am until about 3 pm every sunday. Worst. job. ever.
