I have a question for all of you. Lets say, hypothetically, the Dream Act passes under the Senate within the lame duck session. It has to go to the House, right? Will it be passed under the lame duck session House or the new congressional House?

If it passes under the Senate in the lame-duck it has to pass the House before the session is over (around Christmas) But I don't think we have to worry too much about it passing the House during the lame-duck.

No it means undocumented students can pay in state tuition in California I believe. The state can't give legal status, only the federal government.

No, this California DREAM Act will make California's undocumented students eligible for financial aid. California's undocumented students are already eligible for instate tuition.

really? this is great if it is true.

but what happens if it passes the senate in the lame duck, but the house does not get to it in time before the new congress?
