Last time I was in this forum I was asking for help on a Dilemma. I took sometime for myself and with the help of god and good people I overcame many obstacles. Which just proves to me that life can be good despite being in this situation.

However after a few good months of feeling good I was faced with yet another dilemma. It involves my friend who doesn't know my situation and I'm extremely hesitant to tell them. She has offered me to go on Vacation to Greece with here this summer, and she's always asking when am I going to get my passport "I tell her it's in the works" or I avoid the question and make an excuse. The other thing she ask is "when am I gonna get a DL" again I do the same. I just come up with excuses. The thing is I just can't find it in me to tell her. If I were to tell her I'm afraid she would freak out and do the unthinkable, as she is a conservative Republican from Arizona. I also don't want her parents to find out cause they may freak out and say "we had an illegal at our dinner table, in our home" so yeah it's quite a lot. The only thing that gives me hope is the fact that she digs Latinos, especially Mexicans, she wants to learn Spanish, move to Spain, she's also part Mexican, and she's fond of the food. What do you guys think how should I tell her this or go about it? Also has anyone here gone through something similar, and if so how did it turn out?

Tell her, and who knows, she might change her whole perspective on the illegal issue.

Don't tell her unless you want ICE knocking on your doors.

Yea it would be nice if the world is like fairy tales, you tell her, she understands, nothing happens to you.

But the world doesn't work that way, you tell her, she will inevitably tell someone, most likely her parents, then you wake up middle of the night with ICE banging on your doors.

Don't tell her, it's in your best interest.

Wait until you have some path to legalization like the Dream Act, then tell her. Don't risk it because you can trigger the 10 year or even the permanent ban on your head.

Conservative, maybe twice it happened that she talked about illegals, but never really said anything other than she used to live in a high illegal crossing zone, and she asked my thoughts on Arizona's "papers please" prop.

Then it's a tough decision if you were to tell her. It's not really something for us to tell you to do. We don't really know what you're feeling. Something you really have to think about and decide for yourself to be honest.

Not all conservatives hate illegals, not all liberals sympathize with illegals.

But if you are unsure, even 1%, don't tell her.

You won't have to deal with sleepless nights worrying if she will tell and etc...

Just make sure her parents don't find out. I screwed up on that one and have secretly been with my gf for years and I fear there is no chance for reconciliation. Make sure she can handle it and either way don't let her parents find out until you're legit.

Technically I can go to Greece, I just can't come back to the U.S!
