i'm 18 and i want to get on birth control but i heard they ask for ssn and a birth certificate so i haven't tried going to a planned parenthood yet. i can pay and everything so i don't need financial assistance, but i don't have a dl. also, i live in southern california so i kind of thought it might be okay but i'm not sure.

has anyone had any experience with this?

thanks

I believe that you could get it from the student health center in your college.

You don't need an ID to get birth control, specially if you are paying and are 18. You would just need a prescription from a doctor and you'd take to the pharmacy and you would just get it refilled like any other prescription (via what some friends have said/done)

First of all you don't need to pay, you can just go to any free clinic and say that you want to get on the pill and they'll test you to see if your pregnant and if your not they'll give you a prescription for the pills. My gf is on it and well she doesn't have to pay anything or show id or anything like that. It's actually beneficial to the government because they reduce the number of unwanted pregnancies, thus reducing the number of people who will eventually be on some sort of government assistance. Also, if you don't have the financial means to be mean for the pills per month or whatever theirs also a plan in "planned parenthood" that lets you get the pills for free. Just ask, its better than having problems down the road, and trust me its better than somethings slipping lol and you having to drive around for a walgreens at 3 in the morning for the 2nd option lol.

i'm kind of iffy on the whole clinic thing but yeah i'll have to figure that out or try going to pp anyway. i'm just scared of mentioning my status anywhere. my college counselor and some lady in the admissions office (cuz the ab540) are the only people who aren't like friends/family that know about it.. but yeah. thanks guys.
