Just heard Luis Gutierrez on MSNBC The Ed Show speak. Said that some research and statistical numbers from some organizations need to come in today so they will vote on it tomorrow.

That's great news. Maybe this will urge the Senate to act on their version of the bill.

It will get sent to a joint conference committee that will try to solve out the differences. Then the product will get send to both chambers for an up or down vote.

...but the Republicans wrote a letter that they will not vote until the tax cut is resolved and the government funding is approved.

Ugh...

Yeah, because the Senate is known to finish legislation coming out of the House

The Senate hasn't moved on several bills already passed in the House. Regardless, it's a step forward.

I am hoping that they bring back the age cap to 35 and/or qualify for people who have atleast 2 years towards college? Do you think that happen?

I don't think it would. If they try to do anything, it will be to lower the age cap even further.

i kind of wanted them to at least push for the repealing of that one law that requires illegals who marry citizens to exit the country while their paperwork gets approved...I know a few of other dreamers and people over 35 who would benefit from that. It just pisses me off how the whole system could be fixed with one singular bill but the stupid rhetoric on the Right makes it impossible for anything to happen...Hopefully Sarah Palin polarizes her tea party enough that they break from the GOP giving the Dems a good chance of gaining a solid majority in 2012.

I would say there is zero chance of it going to 35 years old. It was an embarrassing part of the bill.
