How is it different from having a temporary green card? I am pretty sure this sort of stuffs differ from school to school but from what I know, you can enroll a med school with temporary green card as long as you have a legal sponsor (which is your spouse). Otherwise you should find a sponsor as soon as you get into med school like international students do after their 3 year or during their internship I think.

It is possible to get into medical school as an non-citizen/ permanent resident student. I know it is harder, but there are some schools that are more favorable to international students than others. Just make sure your stats are high enough to get their attention.

Heck, I got an interview to a top 15 medical school as an illegal immigrant. Anything is possible, just have the right stats.

you realize even people WITH green cards have trouble with medical school? They prefer USC. Even though GC is fine, i have heard cases where they ask when you intend to apply for citizenship.
